‘A catholic French couple sees their life upside down when their four daughters get married to men of different religion and origins.’ (IMDb) (by Philippe de Chauveron, 97 min.)
When I saw this one in the store I had to check it out. And it didn’t disappoint. It’s a typical French film wit French humor that takes you in a family that’s really French. There are some things that bothered me in this film. They didn’t resolve some of the racist problems in French society. This movie was an ideally platform to tell what the problems are and to give some sort of solution or something. But this movie has a typical ending to a romanic comedy.
And besides that part of the movie, I liked it a lot. It’s a romantic comedy where you laugh and feel with the characters and where the end is a bit predictable but still funny. So in the genre convention they did well, but they just missed an opportunity to be so much more.
